This is a pic of of my dear SIL's Birthday card. I was hoping for a post card look. I have to admit....the origami shirt was fun to create. And has given me the urge to find some hawaiian pattern paper( and also to travel to a nice tropical location! I think Tahiti is nice! )Anywho...I hope he likes it, and since he is Floridian....it should be a familiar scene that he would enjoy. So here are the deets: I used Bazzill CS to make this 6x6 little number. I stamped the cloud background onto a piece of Gina K. 80# luxury paper that was cut out with the square nestabilities. The technique for creating the clouds is to use a scalloped piece of paper as a "mask" and altering the position over the white paper (with the scallop as a mask) sponge daub with bashful blue ink (stampin up). I stamped a hampton arts stamp of the island and palm trees onto the this and watercolored in the image. I used a piece of kraft paper and ran it through a paper corrugator for the band behind the artwork. I also added a small piece of kraft that was punched with the spiral notebook punch from EK Success. The sentment was stamped with a My Sentiments Exactly vacation set stamp ( I think anyways). And the ink used was Stazon Timber Brown. The string was just a piece of jute thread and then I glittered here and there with some stickles. Hope you like!! TTFN!
